Has Finary obtained its MiCA license?

An update on Finary's MiCA authorization process with the AMF and what it does (or doesn't) change for your cryptos.

Written by Ben from Finary

The process to obtain the MiCA license is well underway with the AMF. We are doing everything we can to complete it under the best possible conditions, and no service interruption is planned. We will of course get back to you in due time to keep you informed of progress.

Why is the process taking time?

The AMF is processing a large number of license applications, which explains the review times currently observed. This delay does not call our process into question.

Are my cryptos safe during this period?

Yes. Your crypto-assets remain held in segregation by our partner Bitstamp, which is itself MiCA-licensed. The custody of and access to your holdings continue under the same conditions as today, and you have no particular action to take.

What would happen to my cryptos if Finary did not obtain the MiCA license?

The outcome of the authorization process does not affect your ownership of or access to your crypto-assets: you will always be able to withdraw or transfer them. We would inform you in advance should this situation arise.

Obtaining this authorization will allow us to further strengthen the protection of your holdings and to grow our crypto offering within a harmonized European framework.
