I lost access to my second factor of authentication (2FA)

Changed your phone, lost access to your authenticator app, or can no longer generate your 2FA code? Here's how to recover access to your account.

No need to panic — here's how to recover access to your account, whether from the mobile app or the web platform.

You have access to your back-up codes

These codes were provided when you first enabled 2FA on your account. They come as a list of one-time-use codes.

Recovery codes are strictly personal. Finary support cannot access them or regenerate them on your behalf.

Step 1 — Sign in using a recovery code

Open the Finary mobile app or go to https://app.finary.com. On the 2FA verification screen, click "Use a recovery code" and enter one of your codes.

Step 2 — Disable your current 2FA

Once logged in:

1. Go to Settings → My account

2. Click "Manage 2FA"

3. Click "Disable my 2FA"

Your 2FA is now disabled. You can set up a new one from the same settings whenever you're ready.

You don't have access to your back-up codes

Reach out to our support team at [email protected] with the subject line "Lost 2FA". Our team will verify your identity and help you regain access to your account.
