Predict, our financial independence simulation tool, has evolved to become Goals. This new approach lets you plan not just one project, but all of your financial projects — and track your trajectory in real time.
What's Changed
A single financial independence simulation becomes multiple goals (real estate down payment, retirement, children's education, travel…) + an emergency fund
A confidence index recalculated monthly becomes statuses updated continuously, based on the annual return required to reach your target
An independence age calculated for you becomes a target amount and a target date that you define freely
Family mode not supported becomes multiple contributors: create a goal with several Finary profiles
To explore Goals in detail (creation, statuses, adjustment levers), see Creating and Tracking My Goals.
What Happens to My Predict Simulations?
Your financial independence plan has been automatically migrated to the new format: you'll find it as a goal named "Financial independence", with its target amount, target date, and the assets you had selected.
You now benefit from enhanced features: dynamic statuses, adjustment levers, an emergency fund, and much more.
I Can't Find My Simulation
In some cases, a simulation could not be migrated automatically — for example, if it was no longer associated with any active account.
No worries: you can recreate your goal in moments using the "Become financially independent" template, available when creating a goal.
What Is No Longer Taken Into Account
For transparency, two elements of Predict are not carried over into Goals at this time:
Loans: Goals track the value of the assets you link, but no longer model your loans in the projection.
Inflation: the target amount is expressed in today's currency, with no automatic inflation adjustment. Keep this in mind for long-term goals.
Availability
Goals are available on the mobile app (iOS and Android) starting from version 2.136. They are not yet available on the web version.
On the Free and Lite plans, you can create 1 goal + 1 emergency fund. Additional goals require a Plus or Pro subscription.
