🔎 What is a market order?
When you buy, sell or swap a crypto on Finary Crypto, a market order is placed. This means you are asking our execution partner to process the transaction immediately at the best available price.
Unlike a limit order, you do not set a target price.
The order is executed as soon as a counterparty is found.
It is the fastest way to get an execution, but it depends on market liquidity (the number of orders available at a given moment).
🤔 Why can my order fail?
Sometimes your transaction may not be executed and an error message appears in Finary.
The most common reason is a lack of liquidity on the trading pair concerned (e.g. LINK → BTC).
When there are few buy or sell orders available, the gap between the offered prices becomes too large.
To protect you from an unfavorable execution price, the market order is then blocked.
👉 In other words: there are not enough immediate counterparties to execute your order at the market price.
💡 What can you do in this case?
Here is our advice:
Try again later: liquidity changes quickly, and an order often goes through a few minutes or hours later.
Keep an eye out for improvements: we are working to enrich the investment experience on Finary Crypto. Limit orders (where you set your target price) are currently under consideration.
✅ In summary
Your crypto orders on Finary Crypto are executed by our execution partner.
A market order can fail if liquidity is too low on a given pair.
You can simply try again later, when liquidity improves.
We continue to develop features (such as limit orders) to improve your experience.
