MKR (Maker) delisting on Finary

MKR (Maker) will no longer be supported on Finary from May 26th, 2026. What to do before that date and what happens if you don't act.

Written by Ben from Finary

MKR (Maker) will no longer be listed on Finary from May 26th, 2026.

This decision is part of an infrastructure upgrade to our custody provider, which does not support MKR.

If you currently hold MKR on your Finary account, you need to take action before that date.

📆 Key dates

  • From May 12th, 2026: MKR purchases disabled

  • Until May 26th, 2026: selling and withdrawals still available

  • May 26th, 2026: automatic sell of remaining positions

What is changing

From May 12th, 2026:

It is no longer possible to buy MKR on Finary.

Until May 26th, 2026, you can still:

  • Sell your MKR directly on Finary

  • Withdraw your MKR to an external wallet or exchange platform (from the Finary mobile app)

What do you need to do?

If you hold MKR on Finary, you have two options before May 26th, 2026:

You can sell your MKR position directly from the app. The amount will be credited to your EUR balance.

2. Withdraw your MKR to an external wallet

If you want to keep your MKR, you can withdraw it to an external wallet or exchange before the deadline.

What happens if you don't act?

If you still hold MKR after May 26th, 2026:

You will receive an email confirmation once the sale is complete.

Why is Finary stopping support for MKR?

Finary is migrating to a new custody provider as part of an infrastructure upgrade. This new system does not support MKR (Maker), which is why we are removing it from the platform.
