My budget has disappeared

Your budget is no longer showing? Here are the possible reasons

Written by Pierre-Luc Schaming

Why has your budget disappeared?

If your budget has disappeared, it may be linked to one of the following situations:

1. Your accounts or categories are no longer selected

  • The budget only takes into account the accounts and categories you have chosen.

  • If you have deselected some accounts or categories since creating the budget, it may look empty.

💡 To check:

  • Go to Budget

  • Check the selected accounts and categories.

  • Re-enable them if needed.

2. A bank connection has been deleted

  • If you have deleted a connection (e.g. a bank account or card), the associated transactions disappear too.

  • This directly impacts the budget if it was using those transactions.

💡 Example: you deleted your Revolut account → all the related expenses disappear from your budget.

3. A desynchronisation caused by a temporary bug

  • A synchronisation error can briefly disable your accounts or categories.

  • This can make transactions temporarily disappear, and therefore distort or wipe your budget.

What to do?

  • Refresh the synchronisation via Settings > Synced accounts.

  • Wait a few minutes and check your budget again.

⚠️ If you lose your budget because of a synchronisation issue or a deleted connection, any smart rule will be reset. You will then need to set it up again.

In summary

If your budget has disappeared:

  • Check that the accounts and categories are enabled.

  • Make sure no bank connection has been deleted.

  • Restart the synchronisation in case of a bug.
